The baptismal font is centered in the entryway with ample space for liturgy. The main support of the font is a 9,000 lb rock with a fountain that fills a metal basin that spills down the side of the rock. This was done in a manner that produces no noise. The water is heated and recycled. The basin is large enough for infant baptisms. For adult baptisms, sections of the floor can be removed, the flow of the fountain is allowed to fill the pool. The pool is in the shape of a cross. It has overflowed onto the floor during baptisms. The pool is left uncovered during the Easter season and a protective plexiglass insert is installed that allows a few inches of water to cover it but protects against children falling into the pool.
